Who we are
Our website address is: https://www.carhiregeneva-airport.co.uk.
What personal data we collect and why we collect it
Car hire quotes and bookings
This site does not process car hire bookings directly. Where you search for or click through to a car hire quote, this is handled by Discover Cars (DC) via an embedded widget. Any information you enter into that widget, and any data DC collects as a result of your click or booking, is governed by their own privacy policy, not this one. We do not receive or store your personal booking details ourselves; we may receive limited information about the fact that a click or referral occurred, for the purposes of commission tracking.
Media
If you upload images to the website, avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the site.
Cookies and cookie consent
This site uses CookieYes to manage cookie consent in line with UK and EU data protection law. On your first visit, you’ll be shown a cookie banner allowing you to accept or decline non-essential cookies, and to change your preferences at any time. Beyond essential cookies needed for the site to function, cookies may be set by the embedded DC widget for the purpose of tracking referrals and affiliate commissions; these are only set in line with the consent choices you make through the CookieYes banner.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content, such as videos or the quote widget. Embedded content behaves exactly as if you had visited the other website directly. These third-party sites may collect data about you, use their own cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that content, including tracking your activity if you have an account and are logged into that third-party service.
What rights you have over your data
Where we hold any personal data about you, such as cookie consent records, you can request an exported copy of that data or request that we erase it, except where we’re legally required to retain it for administrative, legal or security purposes.
Where we send your data
Clicks and referrals to are shared with DC for commission tracking purposes, as described above.
Plugin: Smush
Smush does not interact with end users on this website. Its only user-facing element is a newsletter subscription available to site administrators only. Smush sends images to WPMU DEV’s servers to optimise them for web use, including any EXIF data attached; this data is either stripped or returned as-is, and is not stored on WPMU DEV’s servers. Smush uses a third-party email service (Drip) to send informational emails to the site administrator; only the administrator’s email address is collected by Drip for this purpose.
Plugin: CookieYes
CookieYes manages the cookie consent banner on this site and records your consent choices so they can be honoured on future visits. Details of how CookieYes itself processes data are available in its own privacy policy.
