Climate Publicity leads to new Train Services for Geneva

Climate change has been in the news recently and it seems that the core message is finally starting to reach people. A courageous young 16 year old has opened the eyes of many people previously oblivious to climate issues.

TGV company Lyria have decided to add several train services between Paris and various Swiss locations as demand rises. People are keen to fly less and take the train more if it helps the environment. There will be an extra 4500 seats available by the end of next year.

With elections not far away in Switzerland, it seems that climate control among voters could be a decisive issue. Heavier taxes on plane tickets will of course also play a role in how people choose to travel.
