The rate of expansion of Geneva Airport is to be monitored and controlled thanks to a recent vote. The airport has developed rapidly over the last ten years and concerns have frequently been raised regarding air and noise pollution.
The time between 10pm and 12 had been highlighted as a problem time. Projections suggest that passenger numbers could be as high as 25 million by the year 2030.
This is of course a great boom for businesses in the city but many people have voiced concern that this must be kept in line with other priorities such as environmental concerns.
The issue is ongoing with further proposals being put forward by interested parties.
