In a follow up to our previous post, the Extinction Rebellion went ahead with their protest at Geneva Airport on November 16th.
Over one hundred people blocked access to a private terminal. The protest lasted for over two hours with much singing and flag waving. The protesters aim to draw public attention to the ongoing climate crisis.
Private Jet travel was a big target for the group with it being labelled as an “absurd” mode of transport. The protest remained peaceful although it has been reported that permission was not sought to stage the action.
The police were out in numbers as the event ended after two hours.
