Michel Mayor was warmly welcomed back to his old university in Geneva this last week.
Nobel Prize Winner Returns
Mayor recently shared the Nobel prize with Didier Queloz and James Peebeles for the discovery of an exoplanet orbiting a solar-type star.
Guest of Honour
He was the guest of honour as Geneva University celebrating it’s founding and presented prizes for exceptional work.
Mayor sincerely thanked those at the university who had helped him along the way.

He spoke of his surprise upon hearing the news and how suddenly he was inundated with messages of congratulations.
