Storm Ciara hit the UK hard this last week so it’s no surprise to hear that many flights were disrupted or diverted due to dangerous conditions.
One such flight was traveling from Geneva to Birmingham Airport. The flight was run by Easyjet and several attempts were made to land before a decision was taken to divert the flight.
This plan however ran into problems as there was nowhere suitable for the plane to land with so many airports badly affected by Storm Ciara.
The only viable option was to fly all the way back to Geneva Airport and attempt the journey again the following day.
Several flights scheduled to land at Birmingham Airport on the day had to be diverted.
