There was some confusion recently at Bristol Airport as a woman missed her flight to Lyon citing an error with the flight screens.
Information Screen Error
The lady in her fifties claimed that the information screen said her flight was delayed before suddenly displaying departed.
The lady spoke no English but had been keeping in contact with family members who used an app to track the flights departure time.
Airport Statement
Bristol Airport say an announcement was made however this was not heard by other people who also missed the flight and did speak English.
The passengers then had to wait for several hours for a flight to Geneva Airport.
Geneva Car Hire to the Rescue
She then had to hire a car at Geneva Airport French Side to drive to Lyon.
At the time of writing she has not been compensated for this however Bristol Airport have begun an investigation into the matter.
