The 18th of September saw the arrival of the Youth Olympic flame to Geneva Airport. The previous day it had been lit in Athens in the Panathenaic Stadium.
First Stop Geneva
This is just the start of a long 110 day trip for the flame with Geneva its first call.
Distinguished folk from Lausanne, Vaud, Geneva and of course the Int Olympic Association attended.
Olympic Flame gets it’s own Plane
The flame had a whole aircraft to itself and was unveiled at a press conference held inside Geneva Airport terminal.
Peace
The flame represents peace and everything the Olympics stand for.
Train Travel
After traveling by air, the flame will now switch to rail and board the train to the various cantons.
We could recommend a car hire Geneva Airport Swiss side deal but it may not be big enough. Joking..of course.
